Colt Match Target grip question

Thanks to some Match Target threads here I've identified my old X-ring eater as an early 1953 series 2. A gift from my fater when I was a young boy 40 years ago, I placed the scope on it when I was shooting at the Rock Island Arsenal (Arsenal Marksmen) in the 80's. These grips were on it when dad gave it to me and I have one other shown on the bottom. Are these after market grips?

  Those are aftermarket Colt grips.
  
  The Second Series Colt Woodsman had plastic grips from the factory.
  According to www.colt22.com :
