Bert.....Low Wall
Hi Bert, In the collectors world is there less value put on low walls? Is this one priced right in your opinion? Thanks Todd

Speaking of which, what's the difference between a low wall and a high wall? 0 -

Hello Todd,
That is a very rare low-wall indeed... if it actually letters with everything that is on the rifle (I asked him to post a picture of the letter). It looks really odd with the spur lever, and I have never seen one on a low-wall before (even on a true low-wall Schuetzen Rifle... which that rifle is not). The rifle is actually a Special Sporting Rifle with a fair number of extra special order options).
What is confusing me is why the seller states... quote:spirit level in rear sight slot which is wrong, it should have a 32 Win. Sp. sight according to the letter when in fact the picture shows that it does have the correct rear sight.
Typically, a centerfire low-wall will sell for about 50% of what an identical configuration & condition high-wall will sell for. This might be closer to the 75% mark (if it letters). I really want to see the letter (or get the complete serial number).
Edit: The serial is 1047050 -
Well she gave me the serial no. for this one (same seller), its 109042.

Hello Todd,
There are several things not correct about that Scheutzen Rifle... but to the sellers credit, they disclosed what has been done to it, and priced it accordingly.0 -
I'd just like to thank the two of you for drawing my attention to those auctions!!!! Now, where is that winning Lottery ticket? 0 -
Thanks for the tutelage, Bert. The pictures and descriptions helped a bunch. 0 -
