    Change it to what?
I think cylinder replacement in a double action revolver is a pro gunsmith or factory job, but then I am NRA Mechanically Inept.

If you just want to get it out of the gun for cleaning, unscrew the front sideplate screw on the right side - don't lose its plunger and spring - and slide the whole yoke and cylinder assembly forward. Slide the cylinder off the arbor. That is as far as I care to go, although a friend is DIYing an extractor replacement.

I should have said to a 45 LC cyl.

The .45 Colt cylinder is considerably longer than the ACP cylinder. Therefore the barrel shank back through the frame would have to be shortened in addition to the several other requirements of cylinder replacement. That makes it be a one-way conversion, not something you could flip-flop as the mood struck you.
