simmons aetec scope

Is the new aetec scopes suitable to put on light recoiling rifles anymore.I read on another forum the new ones are junk?I have had one of the original ones on my 280 rem. for over twelve years and it is still going strong.
Iknow their not a Leupold,Burris,Swarovski,or anything in that class

  Lunkerbuster---For the /=0./ time. In optics you get what you pay for!!! Their warranty is still nonexistent. HAWLSHAW

  Instead of buying the Simmons I think a better choice is buying one of the "entry level" scopes offered by Burris, Nikon and Leupold. I don't think any of their products are made in China, maybe PI and Korea (or US) instead.
