ruger 10/22 clerke bull barrel
I was wondering if anyone knows anything about; Clerke bull barrels?
I just traded a old Colt .380(wasn't the greatest condition) for a Ruger 10/22 with a 20.5" Clerke fluted bull barrel and Fajen red wood laminate stock, 3-9 bushnell scope (he also included original stock and barrel)
OK I took it out back and with out trying too hard kept 3 shot within a quarter @ 30 yards
However I had one major issue, It would fire the first round then attempt to load 2nd and jam 1/2 way in, 2nd time I fired it jammed on the reload but did not cock the bolt. 3rd shot just jammed again.
Does anyone know how to fix ? or what causes this problem???

It might just have a tight chamber did you clean it very well? 0 -
As the previous poster noted it might have a "tight" match type chamber that requires frequent cleaning. Ammo could also be a factor. I have had a lot of problems in the past with Remington "Golden Bullet" HP's. They don't function well in guns with tight chambers. Had much better luck with Federal .22's, although the Federals aren't loaded as hot as the Remingtons, and tend to cause malfunctions when the guns get dirty. 0 -
Try asking the experts at rimfirecentral.com I built two carbon fiber barreled 10-22's and that web site provided me with alot of trouble shooting advice relative to 10-22 custom features. 0
