Another scope question.....

I have a ART/MPC military style scope that came on my gently used M1A. At the range one day, one of the internal lenses apparently "came loose". I can hear it rattling around inside the tube. Does anyone know if this could be repaired? Is the scope worth putting any money into it? I attempted to contact the Leatherwood company, twice, and they never responded. Is this scope repair "specialized" or could one of the repair facilities mentioned in the previous post do this type of work?
Any opinions and/or advice would be greatly appreciated.

    In your case the best thing to do is contact Leatherwood and complain about first, their scope and second their service. I would suggest you and hopefully anyone reading this post will take heed of buying a Leatherwood ART type scope.

    Originally, they were built in the USA and pretty solid. I don't know when they started production overseas but it has been crap ever since.

    P.S. if you don't get a reply from Leatherwood, you might try writing your Congressman/Senator. This is the kind of product we have options to buy. It's time to end foreigner's open door policy to our markets with no requirement to service them or open their doors to us.

    Depending on the lens involved, some are separate segments that are glued together, and others are separate lenses that are held in with rings or spacers. It would depend on which lens came loose, as to the cost effectiveness of repairing it.

    I am speaking of lenses in general and not specifically about this scope. There is no way to assess the condition without an inspection by a competent repair technician.
