USGI M-1 CARBINE MAGS
I found a bag of six magazines still sealed and packaged with 1959 dating on it. What would a find like this be worth if they were original GI mags?

if they were all GI in my area $30+ each 0 -
Two questions, if I may:
1. What size magazines (capacity) and
2. Did you find them in a 'non retail' enviornment? In with someone's belongings, or sumsuch?
Authentic USGI 30rd. magazines may go as high as $50 each. 15rd. magazines (they're all USGI) will sell at about $10 each.
Many 30rd. magazines are aftermarket, (no collector value) and also are of poorer quality. Therefore the premium on authentic 30rd. magazines. Best, Joe0 -
Joe makes a good point.
There is GI, & there is USGI. (GI may have been produced for some foreign military.)
We identify carbine mags by their appearance (i.e., a photo), AND the markings stamped on the "spine".
