gunsmith in Iowa
I am having trouble finding a good gunsmith in the Clinton, Iowa area. I do not want a hasher (experienced one of those already). I want a craftsman. Please let me know if you know of one close. thanks!

If you want a good gunsmith in Iowa, look no further than Gordy's guns in Pella, Iowa. he may not be close to Clinton, but I would bet he's the best gunsmith in all of Iowa. he has built multiple Camp Perry winning rifles. He's also mentioned by name in the latest version of the Nosler reloading manual, under I believe the 250 Savage reloading data. He hasn't done any work for me personally, but only because he had a long waiting list, but he has given me boatloads of advice and opinions over the phone. He doesn't know it yet, but he will be doing some work for me when I get back from this deployment I'm on. Best 0 -
Gritters does a lot of long range rifle work and is highly regarded by the Varmint Hunters Association. Very knowledgeable and a real whiz with the Savage action. 0 -
