HEY, sonny,
Rude & arrogant demands do not get favors like "please" & "thanks".When you come here for help, you are the guest of the board's owner so please try to remember to conduct yourself as a guest should.
You have tried the same question twice & included the same arrogant note. I will overlook youth & ignorance once & try to answer your questions. (be aware you have two strikes against you already)
Savage never made a Model 893 or anything close to what you describe. They did make the 300 Sav takedown in Model 1899. I suspect your gun is this model. Examine the stamping in strong natural light with a magnifying glass. It is possible the barrel was refinished at some time in the past with some of the roll markings lost or altered in appearance. For us to be of any further help, pictures (close up of the markings) will be required. Altho I understand you know what you are seeing, I can't see what I would look for as the signs of rework.

Well stated Jim.

Have you stopped to consider that your "893" is a weakly, or partially stamped "1899"? S40 0 -
cussedemgun, Addressing a person as "sonny" doesn't not seem to fit in with the good advice in your post. Cut the guy a little slack. If he doesn't learn what we regulars on the board consider proper language and good manners he will drift away.
Respectfully, Herschel0
