THe model 45 how strong are the recievers are they blackpowder only or could they handel the buffalo or Garret cartridge Thanks

if you are refering to the rolling block (remington copies), they are quite strong but I'd stay away from the top end loads. 0 -
Thanks Mike these appear to be to be bolt action but do not look like mauser dont say what it is or date of manufacture stocks look modern but have 26.75 length octagon barrels. Info on these are tight googled wikied and gunboarded no luck 0 -

If so, I would not push it with magnumized ammunition. It ought to handle standard smokeless loads ok, though.
I don't know the pressure limit of the 1871 design but with its single locking lug, I would not magnumize it. Frank DeHaas recommended not loading the German 71-84 any heavier than factory.
You might say the Husqvarna was later manufacture of better steel and was made in .30-30, which has higher chamber pressure (but less case head area for it to act against) and so should handle 28,000 CUP SAAMI maximum loads. I wouldn't.

Hawk it is very close but much more mass. I found a web sight that gave all civilian calibers and other particulars. Manufactue dates for this one is 1915 to 1932. Cylinder action single shot Mauser M1871. I hope this helps toward my original question,you fellers are the best 0 -
