You can probably get more than $500 for it. Diamondbacks have been going thru the roof lately. More like $800 to $900. .38 cal diamondbacks have taken a back seat to the .22 versions with respect to prices.

You guys have better eyes than I have. To me, the gun photo looks about 1" x 1", so I can't tell much except it's a Colt revolver.

1976 is the correct year of manufacture. Blue Book of Gun Values assigns a 10% premimium to 2 1/2" 38 Spl. Condition is a factor of course. If you have the factory box, that could add 50-100 to the value. Get on the auction side of the website and do smart search for completed auctions for the Diamondback. You'll see there what prices are being asked and what they are selling for. $500.00 probably isn't enough for a top condition piece. Would be OK for a shooter. (my opinion)

    Thanks guys,
I was looking to trade it for a Ruger 22 with the bull barrel and some cash. But i might hold on to it! It is in excellent condition although it has been shot but does not have a wear or scratch mark on it.
I hate getting rid of guns! I have never sold a gun before ..LOL Just purchased them!
    Thanks,
    Vince
