Form 5 transfer problem!?
I have a transfer to a LE agency that was pending. The approved form 5 arrived and two day later before I had a chance to do the physical transfer I found out that the agency is not going to be accepting the gun. I need to cancel the transfer. The NFA finally returned my call yesterday (after checking with her supervisor) asking how to cancel the transfer, and they told me that I need to do another form 5 from the agency to me. I thought there was a way to cancel a transfer that hadn't taken place yet, am I wrong?

Did you log the gun out prior to the LE agency's refusal? If so, then the ATF may be correct. If you didn't perform a logout, it's still yours, and the agency is out of the loop. Best, Joe 0
