Shipping a military gunstock to Europe???
I have a WW1 GEW 98 Mauser stock up for auction. I am receiving questions from Europe, specifically, Poland and France.
My Question:
Does anyone know if there is anything illegal about shipping a striped gunstock to these countries?
The shipping cost will be about $50 bucks. It just seems odd that there is not an abundant number of old 98 Mauser stocks available over there.

I've shipped gun stocks all over the world and never had an issue. Just make sure that your payment is in US funds and that you clearly state MAUSER K98 RIFLE STOCK on the Customs declaration form at the Post Office. Be sure the buyer understands that once you ship it the issues of receipt on their end it totally theirs and you won't refund any part of the price if they cannot take delivery. 0 -

On the contrary, very few post office employees have any idea of the mailability of firearms or parts of firearms.

Go to www.usps.com and choose "calculate international postage.
Then choose country, click next. At the top of the next page in small blue print will be a link to price charts and complete information for that country.
*** I would be wary of any overseas buyers. I regularly sell on Ebay- do NOT use any USPS mailing rate that does not give you tracking all the way to their door. That will be very expensive. I would pass on anyone but a U.S. buyer myself.0
