Anyone know the trigger pull weight??? No safety on the gun???

Thinking about a pocket pistol. Is this new Ruger LCP 380 reliable and free of problems as long as you get one built after the recall? Should I be looking at something else/ Thanks! 0 -
I've heard mixed things about these in terms of reliability, though the ONE I've tried seem to run OK with the three clips.
Also, .380 ammo is STILL scarce and expensive.
Consider an alloy frame snubnose .38 special revolver. Not only is it more reliable, its also more powerful.0 -

My son in law has both the LCP and the Kel-Tec P3AT. I've shot both and I don't care for the trigger pull on either one. The Kel-Tec has performed flawlessly, and that's the one he carries every day. The LCP has been back to the factory twice for feeding and ejecting issues, and the recall. He doesn't trust it enough to carry it every day. 0 -
Never had an issue with the LCP with ball (Fed, Sellier, Wolf, Remington, Win, Magtech, Etc..) or JHP (Win Ranger). All auto pistols have a break-in period so expect a jam or two until 200 rounds or so pass through it. If it keeps jamming it's either a gun fault (clip, extractor, springs etc..) or even a shooter fault (limp-wristing etc). I let others shoot it if it keeps jamming to see if it was me, if not I would send it back. I have 2 other .380's, a PPK/s and an FEG, both of them are very reliable as well. IMO the LCP is a gun you'll carry all the time, especially when the steel framed ones are too bulky... and a gun in the had is worth more to you than a million guns in the safe when you're out and need one.
As for .380, I seem to locate ammo when I look for it, last time 17.95 a box for Magtech 95 gr ball. It was just as common (or scarce) as .38 Spl. ammo, but it's out there, just look for it.0 -
It appears that some have had good luck with the LCP. I have not. I have one of the earlier ones, it doesn't always go bang. I've sent in to Ruger twice, but it still is un-reliable. The trigger pull is very hard and very long. And it seems to not have enough spring to always punch the primer. It is for sale. 0 -
Hi and thanks for your input here. I don't think I want a gun that was manufactured and let out of the plant with problems like the early LCP had, and maybe still has.
