Do you mean magazines?
If so, not one with a good spring.

At the beginning of deer season this year, I realized I had left a magazine for my Ruger 77/44 loaded for the entire year. Ruined. Spring is shot. Luckily, I think Ruger sells replacement springs. If you can take a mag apart, and it has a standard type spring like an ak or ar, you can dissasemble it and stretch the spring. 0 -
A properly heat treated spring will not be harmed if the magazine is left loaded for years a cheaply made magazine with poor quality spring will go bad if left loaded. 0 -
Rifle rounds have been packed, stored, and carried on clips for generations now, with no ill effect. On a clip there are no springs or moving parts to take a set or wear out, so leave it loaded. 0 -

Yes, thats what what I meant, I will try to run a few rounds out this weekend. The mags in question are for my AR and Mini. The mini clips are factory ruger, the Ar's are not.0 -
i have 100+ 20 round Colt AR-15 magazines loaded all the time, i have 5 magazines with "special purpose" ammo that have been loaded for 20+ years the springs are still very "springy", ooooh ! BTW those 5 mags are inserted in 5 different AR-15s in various places in our home. 0 -

I agree, I had two 45 round mags that I know were loaded for 15 years (at least), when I moved I took them out and fired them with nothing but success![:)]0
