Walther PPK hammer block

When you lower the hammer on a PPK does it rest on the firing pin or is there some kind of block that makes it safe to carry with a loaded chamber? thanks Don

  it rests on the f.p. and slide. the f.p. is shorter that the hole in the slide so it will not touch the primer.
