    I am confused.
You say you bought it, do you not think you paid fair value?

The serial number indicates that it is a 1916 vintage Flues Model, and because it is not 100% factory original, that greatly diminishes the collector value. If it has short chambers (2-9/16"), that greatly diminishes its appeal to the shooters. The last knock it has going against it is the gauge... 16-gauge guns simply do not have a big following.

Based on your limited description, and the information I have provided, most people would balk at anything over about $250.
