Bersa thunder 380

Does anyone have any information as to the reliability of these pistols ? Are they worthy of personal defense carry ? Do they like a certain brand of ammo better than others ? I would appreciate any and all sugestions on this pistol .

    I have been combing over auction part of the website as well as the forums for an affordibly priced, well built conceal carry gun to take with me when I am on the road or camping. I think I have narrowed it down to this type of gun. It seems like it fits the bill & won't break the bank. Any other comments, suggestions before I take the plunge?

    Use the search function - it's been discussed a whole lot. I sure like mine. Most current thinking is to use FMJ in this and similar calibers to insure adequate penetration.

    Have one, very reliable,and accurate. Never gives me any trouble no matter what I feed it.[:)]

    I have one and it has digested anything i have fed it use to shoot it alot until 380 got so scarce had a hard time for awhile finding ammo for it around here

    I have a Bersa .380 and have fed it jacketed roundnose, hollowpoints, and cast roundnose with no trouble whatsoever. It's not just a great gun for the money, it's a great gun.

    I use to have one, I loved it. But I was offered a Ruger GP100 for it so I took the GP100. I miss that little pistol, but man what a deal I got.

    Its my favorite conceal carry pistol.Never had a jam no matter what bullets I fed it.
