Thanks for the Kahr barrel help

I just got my new PM9 barrel from Kahr. I will have to see if this barrel holds up as well as the ones your have, the chrome in mine had pealed off on one side of the chamber in 200 rounds.

    Before going to the range for a test drive, run your finger on the slide where the "wear" took place to feel for a burr.

    Sorry if my original post wasn't very descriptive. The wear wasn't on the outside of the barrel, it was on the inside...the chamber wall. For about 1/3 of the chamber wall circumfence the chrome had come off on the left side of the chamber wall.

    Oh so basically the chrome peeled out inside the barrel (lands and grooves). So it's bad plating.

    How did she group? Before that is. Good then bad to worse? I wonder if my Kahr's plated too? I recon I'll have to take a looksy.

    The lands and grooves were ok...it was the side of the chamber where the chrome peeled off. Most of the left side of the chamber looking down the barrel...it was all gone. Kahr said it didn't hurt anything...but after only 200 rounds...I agree they hadn't prepped the base material properly.
