WWII P-38

I am researching a Walther P-38 9mm pistol for a friend. The pistol is in excellent condition with a matching serialed magazine. The best part is the serial number, 0715. All serial numbers match and the pistol has the original hard shell holster. From my internet research so far, the pistol has every indicator that it is a second variation P-38 pistol. It has a checkered grip and the Walther banner on the right side. All stamps and markings are consistant with the zero prefix serial number pistols. We would appreciate any feedback on the pistol such as; history, value, origins, ect.

  You might do better at http://www.p38forum.com . They've got a lot of guys VERY knowledgeable in the P38. Like the first responder said, you'll have to post pics anyplace to get the information you're looking for.
