To answer your question, the springs I got from www.coltparts.com; I believe the #35 spring was only $14.50 plus shipping, and appeared new. Seems to have a goodly variety of Colt parts
I did not have to drill for the second pin on the hand; the hole was there where the pin was missing. Pressed in a short piece of a #51 drill bit, to have a hardened pin that would not bend.
Mechanism is still dissing me, but I'm, working on it, even though it feels like Davy Crockett "trying to out-grin a bar." I'm patient and stubborn.
