Winchester Model 12 .410
I am quite familiar with the Winchester 52, in .410, that looks like a downsized Model 12. Any one ever heard of an actual Model 12 in .410? Saw one at a gun show in St. Louis today. Was marked Winchester Model 12 .410. Barrel was a lot thicker than a model 52. I was not aware of any such animal. Guy had $22,000 price tag on it.

don't you mean the model 42 in 410. ? didn't think they made the 52 in a 410. either way never heard of a model 12 in 410 either. 0 -
The model 52 Winchester is a .22 LR cal target rifle that also comes in a sporting variation. There is no way it could be made in .410 bore. You are apparently talking about the Model 42 Winchester. 0 -
Was the barrel marked "winchester'?? 0 -
Winchester never made a Model 12 in .410 bore. The Model 42 was the only slide action Winchester ever made in the .410 bore. 0 -
What Bert said, plus the model 52 Winchester is a fine 22cal bolt action target rifle.

get your eyes checked >you're seeing 52 for 42 > you may not go hunting with me until you change your prescription. 0 -
Might have been a Simmons barrel on a 20 or 28 frame. 0 -
Senior moment. 42, not 52.Barrel is marked Winchester with Winchester logo Model 12 .410 Gauge. End of barrel is much thicker than 42 barrel. To My knowledge there is no such gun. ??? 0 -
I can't tell you how many times people have claimed they saw, or someone they know owned a Model 12, 410 ga. Winchester never made them. I know also of a supposed Model 12 try gun floating around out there some place. That is another thing Winchester never made. 0 -
I usually see this vendor at a couple of different shows. Will corner him and see what his story is. Have known the guy for quite a while. Tends to have overpriced guns but I have never gotten the impression that he is not honest. Will re-post if I get additional info. 0
