7.65 Argentine Headspace
Does anyone have the argentine headspace GO, NOGO and FIELD specs or link to a sight where they are posted. I just had a set made at Pacific but the GO gauge does not close on any of my 1891 or 1909 rifles / carbines.

Bob Green,
Is the rim of the 'GO' gauge under the extractor or is it in front of the extractor?
Usually we remove the extractor on any bolt and any ejectors located on or in the bolt face like Remington along with the firing pin assembly before checking headspace.

I removed the extractor on the 1909's. I did not remove the extractor on the 1891's but it was extracting the gauge as it would brass.
In the 1891's the bolt would close and slightly rotate but in the 1909's the bolt would stop before it could even rotate.0 -
Sounds like minimum headspace...will a new piece of brass chamber? How about a fired and resized piece of brass? 0 -
Do the bolt s/ns match the receiver s/ns ? 0 -
Some are matching bolts others are not. Tried it in 7 different Arge's. Pacific is going to take them back for possible rework. I found 2 posts on GUNBOARDS.COM that reported an error with Pacific 7.65 gauges. Rounds chamber OK without forcing the bolt. 0
