    I was thinking on buying a kel-tec sub rifle 2000 9mm i was wanting to know if any body has one or shot one and could tell me if their any good.[:)]

    I bought a new P 11 in 1996 and carried it for years. Fired many rounds through it over that time. I estimate at least 1,500/2000? many hot handloads. Held up well, did have the slide stop and hammer axis pin break, at different times after much shooting. Called up KelTec they sent me another slide stop and hammer axis pin, which I had no problems with replacing. It's good value for the money, a self defense pistol to be carried a lot, and shot seldom.

    Guns are nice, being both light and small, but reliability on these is highly variable, especially the 3AT pocket pistol.

    I've seen more than one 3AT that wouldn't reliably load, getting at least one jam per magazine. Seen the same problem with the 32 caliber version and the larger .40 cal version of the p11. Not good if your life is on the line.

    Kel Tec is supposedly very good about customer service, though.

    Perhaps these might run better with a few hundred rounds put through them, but with the current scarcity and cost of .380 ammo, who wants to do that?

    Only PF1 I've ever tried ran 100%. Recoil is "noticeable" with a 9mm luger from a 12 ounce (or so) gun!

    I've run about 120 rounds through my P3AT without feeding problems. It is my daily carry gun, and is cleaned and lubed weekly. I use Breakfree.

    I put about 200rds. through my P3AT before carring it 24-7. Only had to do a little feed ramp work to make it run. Had to do the same to the P-32 before I got a 380.

    Have had and carried a P11 in 9mm for past 5 years. Shot semi-weekly for years, seldom an issue and when I did have a problem it was usually either me, the ammo, or the S&W magazine I was using for high cap at the range.

    Also have a .40 conversion for the P11, used extensively when .40 S&W was a little easier to come by. Also have a .357 Sig barrel for the .40 conversion that allows shooting .357 Sig with the P40 slide and mags. Great versatile platform.

    Have 2 P32's, one first Generation and one second generation, have never had any issue with either one and have put probably 2,000 rounds through them.

    Have not owned a P3AT although I know several people who do and who swear by them. Try http://ktog.org/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl for other input.

    Despite others comments about shooting 300 rounds being an issue, I would never carry a self defense gun that had NOT had at least that many rounds through it to ensure consistent operation and that the ammunition is appropriate for that particular gun. Regardless of make or caliber.

    I would recommend more rounds than that just to familiarize myself with the pistol, again, regardless of caliber or make. YMMV

    I have a PF-9 and have been very happy with it. There is a Kel-Tec Florida group that gets together once in a while and I have had the opportunity to fire a number of other Kel-Tecs at these gatherings.

    My personal opinion of Kel-Tecs is that they are a very good value. Quality may not be that of a Walther or a colt but you certainly get your moneys worth. Some of the Kel-Tecs do have some issues and you will know pretty quick if your specific gun has a problem. If so send it back and they will fix it. I have not had to use their customer service but those that have rave about it. Typically when they get their gun back it runs great. I have not heard of anyone sending one back and it not being fixed.

    I have had the .32 and have the .380 pistol. Both have eaten everything I have fed them with no malfunctions.

    A will agree with everything above..I have a PF9..had to send it back to the factory after 6 rds fired..FTF issue...called the company they put in a call order to UPS, UPS picked the gun up at my home had the gun back in 13 days...Gun has been flawless since...you do need to practice to be proficient...the trigger takes some getting used to...my 2 cents

    Kel-Tec P-3AT is the smallest .380 acp made! They are fine little guns that you can drop in your pocket!
