Help with Luger please.

Can anyone provide me with info on the below pistol? Is the chrome/nickel original? Time period, manufacturer, value, etc. Thanks in advance.

  Plating isn't factory original. From the proof mark it appears to be what is called by U.S. collectors a 1920 commercial. They were assembled in Germany from W W I military Luger parts. Most are chambered for the .30 Luger cartridge, rather the the 9mm. Never seen one of those factory plated though.

  Thanks for the info! Is that a Mauser mark on the top? You are correct, it is not 9mm. Any idea on value?

  The monogram is DWM = Deutsche Waffen und Munitionenfabriken.

  sometimes called "alphabet" lugers for the letter under the ser #.
  xx amount of guns were made in the "a" series then they started at 0001 again with letter B.
  the only "factory" plated lugers i'm aware of are the later manufactured Stoegers.

  The finish is chrome plate over a pitted pistol that was originally blued.
