Welcom to the forum, I am sure someone will know. I don't know for sure, I would think if you can put it together you can take it apart. There is a guy how oversees this forum, nononsense is his handle, he will know what needs to be done.

If I read your post correctly, the rod is installed in the pistol backwards, the spring is over the guide rod and the slide is in place. The take down pin will be a bit harder than normal to remove since there is no give in the guide rod but should pull out normally. Don't forget to push the spring down in the magazine well. Then the slide should slip off as normal.

The rod will be very tight and you might have to work the spring one coil at a time with the rod pulled to the side but it will eventually come off. Once the spring clears the part of the slide that is encased at the front the whole assembly should pop off.

Check that the spring isn't damaged, bent, or cut and if it's okay reverse the rod and reassemble as normal.

    Should be fine.

Don't ask how I know how to take one apart that has been put in backwards, I will never tell !!!!!

Well lcdrdanr thank you for the wisdom. The slide doesnt have but less than a half inch of give, but hopefully it will disassemble.

Well not only did I put the guide rod in backwards, but I also forced the slide onto the frame without pushing the magwell pin down. I used an allen wrench to pry it down, once I removed the grips. Once I did that it was a breeze to break it down and CORRECTLY reassemble it.
That was really dumb of me to put the rod in backwards and not research how to properly disassemble my pistol but, experience comes in time, and mistakes. So my 20 year old ass has got a lot of mistakes and time to go.
