Hello experts, im tryin to age my savage 30-30 pump, the serial number is B524457. any info would be more then welcomed!

  Speaking with a friend of mine, and he mentioned that Savage made a pump rifle in the 70s, that he believed was called the Model 170. Anyone know anything of this model?I am always interested in pump rifles, and never heard of a savage centerfire pump rifle. Just interested to know how good they are, and if it is worth looking for one.Thanks

  They were only mfg between 1970 and 1981, is all I could find, but there is a member here with that user id that could probably help you out on a closer date.

  Thanks for the reply, Mine is the carbine with the 18 inch barrel, the carbine was only made from 1974 to 1981 is all i know about it. hope some one can pin point the date made!

  Try the experts on the web site: Savageshooters.com.....they have never failed to answer any Savage-Stevens question I have had in the past.
