Blue Dot loads for 40 S&W

I'm looking to do some loading for the 40 S&W, the first time for me with this particular caliber (though not new to reloading); I have a supply of Blue Dot powder that I no longer use for the other calibers I load for, and would like to use it up in the 40, as it would appear to be a good match for this loading.
I've checked various sources for minimum - maximum for this powder with the 155 grn copper plated bullet, and have found some pretty wide variances (much more so than other calibers), with ranges from 8.2 - 9.2, all the way up to 10.4 - 11.5 grns!!! That's quite a variance, as one reliable source STARTS their minimum load more than a full grain OVER anothers MAXIMUM loads!
Who has some experice, and could share with me a good medium power loading with the 155 grn pills in Blue Dot?

The best loads with Blue Dot are actually 135gr. bullets from Nosler, but generally, start at 9.5 and stay below 11.2 with 155 grainers.
I haven't tried any loads with Berry bullets yet, but I did do a few thousand from Hornady (155gr) that went right around 1000fps with a load of 10gr, CCI primer and Win cases.0 -
Be careful the 40 is a very touchy case to reload. IF you see any kind if case bulge you are at the danger point. reduce charge . One reason so much difference in load data is just the slightest difference in OAL can really spike the pressure. 0 -
I am using 10 grs of Blue Dot behind a 155 Speer or Remington bullet...chrono says about 1100 fps. Book says 11 grains max, but I don't push things to the max for practice, no need to. I want something that makes the gun function reliably...and I benefit because the recoil is less. Personally I think I like Unique better for mid loads...using 7.2 grains for about 1000 fps. This again with a 155 gr bullet. 0 -
