Value for Smith MOD 27-2 in Nickel???

    You answered your own question. Best to hold on to it until things turn around economy wise. 8 3/8" nickeled Model 27's only appeal to certain folks. Unless your willing to give it away, or luck out on some guy will just fell off the turnip wagon, it's going to be a hard sell IMHO.

    Click on the Smart Search link on the GB home page, then search COMPLETED auctions for "Smith 27 nickel", with HIGHEST NUMBER OF BIDS FIRST.

    Yes, the market is a little tight. But, things like exact condition, the original box, or S&W case affect what folks are willing to pay.

    The longer barrel is an aquired taste, most folks go for the 4" or 6" but I don't think the longer barrel is a killer.

    I think it would go pretty quick at $550.00, probably not so quick about $600.00 and I don't think at all at $800.00

    Agree...be really nice w/ box ect! That has been selling guns from what I see,,original items with box, papers, ect. have been bringing good money..nambu
