shipping ammo
Okay I read the sticky on it. From what I get from it and what I have been told over the years,
shipping live ammo via the USPS is illegal.
Then my question is; if it is illegal then how are the big sellers on the auction side
getting away with shipping ammo via USPS?
They state they ship USPS and the shipping price they are giving is for Priority Mail.
I know because I know what UPS charges and there is no way I can charge $6 - $7 less to match their shipping price
on the same ammo via UPS.
I now understand why we do not sell as much ammo even though our price for the auction is within line with the rest.
Our shipping cost kills it because we ship within the law.

thanks for any help Dan
Ammunition must be shipped Ground, which rules out USPS. FedEx & UPS both offer Ground service. Check their websites for a shipping calculator.
Remember to mark the package with "ORM-D".0 -
dogtown tom (I like that user name) gave you the only real options. Chances are good that you'll have to take the package directly to the depot to ship it because the vast majority of UPS and FedEx satellite locations won't accept ammo. 0 -

We're glad to have you on board, FedexDolores. If you see UPSCharlie around, please ask him to join us, too!0 -
UPS requires the ORM-D to have SMALLARM CARTIRDGES to be above it now, with ORM-D in a box. 0
