Uberti 1873 Cattleman TR

I just bought a consecutive pair of Uberti 1873 Cattleman TR imported by Taylors & Co. They are in .45 Colt - 5 1/2" White heat treated finished and Photo Engraved with Ivory grips. Uberti # 1519 and Taylor # 413TR. They are is excellent condition with only a few rounds each.
I have a few questions:
1)Exactly what is the white heat treated finished?
2)What is the TR?
3)When were these made?
4)How many were made?
5)What are they worth?

    I was told the TR stands for Teddy Roosvelt.

    These Italian handguns have little to no collector market. They sell as shooters. Taylor is a very recent company.

    Taylor has established in 1988, 21 years is not recent and anyway they are just the importer.

    Jim,

    In comparison to the real thing, 21-years is real recent. Uberti is a young company, and Italian made guns are meant to be shot versus being collectables.

    I DID BUY THEM TO SHOOT, NOT COLLECT. NOT SURE HOW THE COLLECT THING GOT INTO THIS THREAD.

    The reference to the consecutive serial numbers, when made, worth? all point to collector traits in a firearm. Those are just standard collectors questions. I was thinking collector as well.

    However, Uberti is probably the no. 1 reproducer of American western firearms in the world. At first they had the reputation of show/movie props only. But now, they are getting the reputation as really fun guns to shoot that truly mimic what was here in the late 1800's. As that demand has grown, so has their prices. With the amenities your firearms have I would say $600-$700 each. They could have been made as recently as last year. No idea of how many were made and specifically what the TR stands for. I believe your guess could be right on. Provenance would show that though.

    I'm sure you'll like these. Post some pics if you get a chance. And if you do it up right and get some serious gun-leather for these pics of those too! El Paso Saddlery does some nice work that is affordable.
