Can I Use 7.62-51 Ammo In My 308 Baikal spr 18?
I want to shoot the cheap steel case 7.62-51 russian ammo in my spr 18 308 at a local range I joined. In my other thread one person said I could and one said not to. Help appreciated.
Also what is the best source for the non corrosive russian 7.62-51 ammo if I can use it?

Check it again. I answered this in the last post, but I will repeat it here.
Nobody said you couldn't use 7.62x51 ammo in your gun, only that .308 Winchester and 7.62x51 NATO aren't exactly the same thing.
7.62x51 ammo in .308 gun ===> OK.
.308 ammo in 7.62x51 gun ===> Possibly NOT OK.
Yes, you can use steel cased 7.62x51 ammo in your Russian made .308 Baikal rifle. (Note that you cannot use steel-cased or any other kind of 7.62x39 ammo, since that is a different non-compatible caliber).
Best source of ammo is whomever has it on sale. Check the other thread for specific recommendations. I'd say the "right" price for this stuff right now (eg Nov 09) is about $200 per 500 round case plus shipping. If you can find it much cheaper than that, then buy it.0
