I have a Ruger Deerfield .44 Mag rifle. In the manual it says not to use aluminum cased ammo like CCI Blazers or .44 spl as these will not function the action.

I suppose you could use these rounds but you would have to operate the action manually.

i have one of the first run of Ruger .44 Mags. i shoot .44 Spcl. in it quite often when i want a lower recoil, the .44 Spcl. functions quite well...., BUT !! i use reloads exclusively.

good question i can see it might not function in a semi but i have a 96/44 lever in 44mag will 44spcl work in that i never tried or even thought too, but i too have small kids who would like to shoot but same problem with the recoil. i got them 22s and a 17hmr, but you know kids they want want dad shoots lol, so will it work in levers or bolts anyone know?

If you are looking for a low power load in a non gassed operated semi auto, you may also want to look into the cowboy loads.

They are lead, and they may not cycle or function well in all guns. I know my 1892 repro can be fussy with them
