Ithaca 37 and Steel Shot
I have an Ithaca model 37 with a full choke. I'm pretty sure I can't shoot steel shot through it as is. While I don't do much hunting that requires the use of steel shot, I would like to have a shotgun that will shoot it. I was wondering, if I have a screw-in choke installed will that allow me to shoot steel shot? Yes, while that's a great excuse to just buy another shotgun, I would rather spend the money on other guns that are a higher priority right now. I'm just thinking that screw-in chokes might be a cheaper solution.

If your gun is serial # 855,000 or higher you may want to look for a newer barrel with choke tubes already or a newer barrel with a modified choke. 0
