Turkish?? Flintlock Pistol Info *PIC HEAVY*

Could use a little help with any info you may have on this one before I list it. I'm guessing Turkish?? due to the what looks like arabic markings. I don't know if this is a $50 gun or a thousand dollar one. When was it mfgd??, etc.

    Very likely Turkish, at least that part of the Med. It is real, not a tourist piece. Probably more of value to an interior desecrator than a gun collector altho interest has increased to where these can bring a few hundred where they once went begging at $25.

    Actually a pretty nice example in un-messed-around-with condition.

    Yes Don, something of a "jeux de mots": desecrator - one who diss-es an area by depositing eclectic objects therein.

    Check out auction #146934444 to see a nearly identical pistol that is a little fancier and in working condition.

    We used to see alot of those in "Rip Off Alley" just outside Incirlik A.B. Turkey. They generally sold for $15 to $25 or $30 depending on condition. This one is missing some parts that hold the flint but does look like one of the better pieces I saw while I was over there.
