i have a model 37 steel built it has a vent rib barrel and it says poly chock on the end,and it has an butt plate that is aluminum and ajustable my question is did they make a model 37 with a vent rib or is it a add on,and could the butt plate be orignal??? it is 30 in barrel 12 ga

  From your description with the adjustable butt plate and vr, etc. It seems somebody put a lot of time, effort and money into making a M 37 into a Trap gun.

  i have no intention of selling the gun but do the add ons, butt plate,vent rib,wide triger add to value of the gun or do they decrease its value????

  None of what you describe is factory original. In answer to your question concerning the effect on the value of the add-ons... the vast number of Model 37 12-gauge guns are not worth much to start with, and even the high condition factory original guns have very little collector interest (or value). That said, the add-ons most likely will have no significant affect on the value in either direction.
