Help with a 1911 custom trigger...

I put a custom trigger (along with a bunch of other dressings) in my 1911. The area between the rails of the trigger where the magazine goes through is really tight on the magazine. You have to give the magazine a good push to get in the gun. Any suggestions on a way to solve this (other than putting the original trigger back in the gun)?

  Justin;
  Sounds like the trigger rails are "bowed" in, slightly bow them out and make sure you are using top quality mags. Cheap mags will cause similar problems.

  As I'm sure you know, this will also adversely affect trigger pull, so it's a good thing to get on top of. Check clearance with all mags with the trigger out of the frame. In addition to the bowing possibility, make sure the rails in the frame are clean and free of any crud or burrs.

  I have Novak's mags. The rails of the trigger are perfectly clean, as the gun has not yet been shot with this trigger in it and the trigger is brand new. I will try the slightly bowing it idea.

  Take the trigger out and slide it over a magazine and see if it rubs on the sides. If it does, just strighten the bows enough to clear it.
  If you bow it out too much, then it rubs too much inside the frame.
