20 gauge slug range and sights
Have a mossberg 500 youth in 20 gauge my son is using this year for first deer season. Barrel is rifled with remington slugs and I cant seem to get windage adjusted properly to get on bulls eye.
Windage is entirely slid to its max at 50 yds with no luck.
Never messed with slugs before any ideas Thanks.

not being a wise guy but are you sure you are moving it in the correct direction? It's opposite of a scope 0 -
Actually moved both ways never made any difference , also had three different shooters firing in addition to myself.
When gun was purchased entire rear sight was loose including the base attached to barrel and had to retighten everything.
Shots were hitting always to right no matter which way windage was adjusted. Frustrating.
But just for the heck of it, if hits are to the right which way do you slide it?0 -
You move the REAR sight in the direction YOU WANT the shot to go if the shots hit to the right move the REAR sight to the left. 0 -
thought so have to try it again. what kind of range can i expect realistically ? 0 -
Range? About 100 yds, minute of whitetail. 0 -
Thanks guys, well back to the range. 0 -
With a rifled barrel you should have better accuracy with sabots . 0
