New Scope ?

I,ve decided on a new scope for my deer gun.It has a 44mm objective.I would like to know what the max. O.D. of the objective end of the scope could be [?]I,m hoping the mount and rings I have now will be high enough.

  44mm works out to 1.716. To be on the safe side I would figure 2", to be the maximum OD.
