No, it's pretty straight forward. The trigger group will stay together when it's removed. I think it is one of the easier guns to clean.

JUST TO NOTE; THE ONLY WAY TO GIVE A 742 A 'GOOD CLEANING' IS TO REMOVE THE BARREL, BREACH BOLT, AND BOLT LOCK & SPRINGS. NOT A JOB FOR THE NOVICE....GO SEE YOUR LOCAL GUNSMITH

I don't know what cleaning would require removal of the barrel/bolt. Flushing the bolt with Brake parts cleaner or one of the other pressurized solvents would remove quite enough gunk to restore correct operation.

Mike has it correct. Have cleaned more than enough to know a correct and functional cleaning is Mike's way. Good lil gun if maintained. Mine hasn't missed a lick in almost 30 years...

"I don't know what cleaning would require removal of the barrel/bolt."...........The ONLY way to get the bolt out of the rifle is to remove the barrel, the bolt lock and associated springs/plungers are on top of the bolt. no amount of spraying or soaking will clean these parts properly. If the bolt lock dosen't work, the receiver rails get chewed up and you then need a new gun.
