Old Browning Superposed stock
I acquired a 1958 Browning Superposed 12ga. in a recent trade. I noticed that the stock had actually been two pieces of wood apparently glued together. The top 1/3 of the stock different than the bottom 2/3s. The stock appears original to the gun. Would Browning have sold or delivered the gun like this??? By the way, I sent the gun to Art's Gun and Sport Shop in Missouri and it came back beautiful. If I didn't tell you I doubt that you would notice the stock.......they blended it that well. I highly recommend Art.

No, Browning would not have done that unless it was sent in for a repair. and even then I think browning would have just replaced it. Someone could have cut off the monte carlo, it could have split etc..but it sounds like a professional repair if its that hard to tell. 0
