16 Ga. Ammo
I'm having a hard time finding 16 ga. ammo. Either the stores don't stock it or they do and only have very expensive hunting loads. A local store of a national sporting goods chain have 12 and 20 ga. ammo on sale all the time but charge a premium price for 16 ga., or don't have any at all. Any body else having this problem? Anybody know of a good source for target load 16 ga. ammo.? Thanks Jim

In years past all the major manufactures produced a "Field" line of ammo for 16 Ga. that had 2 3/4 drams of powder and 1 1/8 oz of shot. I have read that this was a PERFECT load for the 16 Ga. I have found some of this around but it is getting harder to find. Does anyone know if this load is being produced any longer by anyone? THANKS!!! 0 -

Winchester is still making 16ga. It doesn't give the powder charge, but the shot load is the same.

Fiocchi has some great loads for the 16 gauge...especialy their golden Pheasant line. The previous poster was correct; Ballistic Products has many offerings in the 16 ga. 0
