Winchester 94 Golden Spike
I notice there are 4 Winchester Model 94 Golden Spike Commemorative guns for sale on this site for around $600. They all have original packaging and paper work. The one I have has all the paper work and original packaging as well, but it also has a second inlay on the left side of the butt that says to whom it was presented. It was for the Chairman of the Board of Southern Pacific Railroad in 1969 and gives the name of the person. The guns for sale on this site do not have this second inlay. Does this add any value to the firearm?

To the right collector potentially it does. It is one of a kind so determining the exact amount can really only be done in the market. It will not be a huge amount. these commeratives were produced as instant collectables and the secondary market is rather small. Collectors insist upon unused condition, down to the action not being worked (though all were test fired at the factory), with box and all paperwork. Without the box, they sell as shooters with no additional value. 0
