win95-1.jpgwin95-3.jpgwin95-2.jpg I recently picked up this 1895 Winchester in northern Maine. It is in 30-40 krag and appears to be all original. Any clue as to how odd this gun is and what is it worth ? Emery

As long as the head space is OK, you should be good to go. I always thought you should shoot light loads in the old 06 95s, Bert set me straight about the head space. I tried some standard loads in my old 95 and had no problems. I loaded 180gr Nosler AccuBonds with 57gr H4831SC and Win LRP primers, this is pretty close to factory loads. Mostly I shoot 1800gr cast bullets and 55gr of H4831, the old gun shoots lead real well.

Extremely doutbful that it was manufactured as late as 1915... more than likely it is a made in late 1909 or early 1910.

Hey, thank you all for your reply. I'm going to check out more about it on the Cody museum site. Thanks, John
