can anyone tell me about what this gun is worth,,savage model 219 in 25/20 the gun is in real good shape

  I have 2 Savage 219's, but they are in 30-30 with extra shotgun barrels and forearms. I have done some research on these rifles, and have found that the 25-20 caliber is the most rare of those models, and would command the best price. I would guess that the your gun in very good condition is in the $450+ range. There is a Savage web site which has much more specific information reference the Savage Utility rifle line; go to Savageshooters.comxxxx (just drop the x's) and ask a moderator named Mad Dog about the 219's. He has done alot of extensive research on values and manufacture dates.

  I would say $450 MINIMUM.Isold several of the more common ones a few years ago for $400 to $500. You have one of the rare ones.they have there own following.Assuming it is in good condition.
