Sig Sauer Mosquito
I need your opinions on the Sig Mosquito .22 Any input will be appreciated.

Although it carries the Sig Sauer name, it's actually made by a German gun company called German Sport Guns. This is the same company that makes the .22 caliber MP 5 knockoff, sold in this country as the GSG 5. Most of the Mosquito parts are made of zinc die castings with a minimum of steel parts. Some folks have been very unhappy with with their Mosquito's in assuming they were going to get the same quality pistol as the centerfire Sig Sauer's. You might check the Rimfire Central site, lot of posts over their regarding Mosquitos and the problems folks had with them. 0 -

I also heard about how ammo sensitive the Mosquito is. I believe proper lubrication is part of the solution. I bought a 2 tone model in July. Took it apart first, cleaned and lubed with FP10. I shot regular cheap Winchester Wildcats accurately without a single jam. Sig recommends using CCI Mini-Mag ammo and there was a $10 coupon with the gun. I clean and lube with FP10 after each use and have yet to have a jam. 0 -
IMHO your money is better spent on a nice Buckmark or Ruger. My Mosquito never proved reliable. 0
