the intensity line of scopes is the old simmons 44 mag and whitetail classic line of scopes. made in the philipines ,decent quality for the money. 0 -
For the price they are asking...even dealer cost...THEY SUCK!

Look the simple truth is in optics more than in most things, you get what you pay for. Pay cheap, you get cheap. Look at it this way: You have a $700 rifle. You put on a $49 scope. You now have a $49 rifle. Do yourself a real favor and save your nickles and buy a Burris Signature. 0 -
Years back I was lured by the price and seeming quality of the Whitetail Classic line. I bought three which all failed from recoil in short order. Initially Simmons was replacing them with thier current production version of the scope, which I sold on fleabay without ever taking out of the packaging. But, the company was later sold and they stopped honoring the warranties on their older products. What they do these days someone else will have to tell as I will never buy another of their products ever again. The minimum that I would put on a "slug" gun these days is a low power used Burris fullfield, a company who honors their warranties..... 0 -
I must say I have an old Simmons 44mag on my 30.06 that came with the gun when I bought it from a friend and it has served me well I have probably taken 15-20 deer with that gun.
But I recently bought a Burris Euro Diamond for my new deer gun, and have decided that burris is the way to go.
Like most have said you get what you pay for.
