French (?) M1 Carbine Ammo Value
Does anyone know what the approx. value for my 800 round spam can of French made M1 Carbine ammo? This is clean, noncorosive, made in 1950 and is full metal jacket.

They are asking $350-400 on the auction side.
Go there and check completed auctions and see what it sold for.0 -
What people are asking for it, and what it is actually worth can sometimes be quite different. If you want to advertise it ask $350 if you want to sell it ask $220. 0 -
The ammo in the picture is French mfg. It is believed to be corrosive primed and is berdan primed. It is good shooting as I have had some for many years. One needs to especially clean the gas piston area if it is used. 0 -

Sidenote to all this: The designers of the M1 carbine system also insisted the 'ordies' refrain from manufacturing corrosive ammo from the get-go due to piston disassembly being excluded from field maintainance (staked in place). Best, Joe 0
