looking for a 308 semi auto,mostly target but it may hunt some deer .give me your thoughts.remington,browning etc.thanks

Remigton R-25, or DPMS LR-308 would be my first choice, then BAR, Benelli R1, or Winchester SXR.

The DPMS LR-308L is the dedicated hunting rifle.. This model is also availabale in .260remington, and .338Federal.

Non EBR or EBR? For the Non- get a Browning with teh BOSS on it.

If you are willing to consider used rifles, consider the Winchester Model 100. It was offered in .308, is reliable, and has some collector value. It was offered in the carbine version, with a 19 inch barrel, and the standard version with a 22 inch. 0 -
