sks front site tool

I need to adjust the front site on my sks and was wondering does the tool kit in the butt stock have a front site adj tool?. The gun is locked in my safe and the old dragon is sleeping so before i buy one tonight while i remember it i figured i would ask the experts!. Thanks guys

    I think the sight tool is missing from lots of the kits. I have several that didnt have sight tool. Good pics.

    I think I see the tool that can be used for elevation. How would you use it for windage. I've been using a pusher type I purchased seperately.

    never saw one that had the sight adjustment tool missing. you got ripped off.

    nothing in the kit can be used to adjust windage, need one of these, it's called a drift. and a propane torch. you can improvise with a regular C-clamp and a socket (from a socket wrench) for the drum to move into, where the hole is on this one. but that's a pain in the ass, this works better.

    when you go to adjust the windage drum, usually the first time you do it it's stuck so bad you need a propane torch to get it loose, almost strips out the threads on your drift, the drum goes "pop" and breaks loose. after adjustment youre going to leave it for a while, and it will probably get rusted into place again.

    you can take the sight post out and push the drum out all the way, coat everything inside and out with grease so it won't get stuck again, and put it back in.

    but at that point the drift isn't big enough to get it back in and you need a c-clamp to get it in most of the way. it's a major pain in the ass to get it started back in the hole again. same for the sight post. but if you can do that, windage adjustments will be easy and you won't need the propane torch any more.

    gas block crud remover tool shown on the right, some kits came with those but it had hexagonal sides and was straight so it would fit in the kit. so, the right size allen wrench should work for a crud remover tool.

    I have a Williams sight I purchased that has windage adjustment. I also have the vise type windage tool for the other rifle I have.

    You don't need to adjust the sights on a SKS. Shoot it like it was intended to be shot. Close your eyes and jerk the trigger !

    I would think after the statement you made about the SKS that your target look like you shoot with your eyes closed.
